Vegas History Collectors! Check out this Original Crazy Horse Too Neon Sign! This is a must-have item as this is the neon sign from the original club that was historic in Las Vegas from 1972 until it was demolished in 2022! The sign was from the exterior main sign of the club, as you can see from photos of the sign in some of the photos. Between the 2 signs on both sides of the building, all of it was destroyed by demolition crews. This is the only portion of the sign that remains, separated in 3 separate panels, which is the full word of "CLUB" and "EMEN'S" from the word --Gentelmen's--.
As you may already know, finding original and authentic NEON signs from Las Vegas landmarks and iconic places is extremely, we will say it again, extremely difficult to come by especially from a well known place in town with a lot of history! Most of the Vegas neon signs ends up in museums, so private ownership is next to impossible. The sign was built and made by YESCO (Young Electric Sign Company) who makes nearly all of Vegas' top neon signs on the strip and throughout the state. On one of the letters (see photo) you will even see a maintenance sticker still attached to it from them.
Please do your research, and you will find the main history this place has is related to Mafia ties being run by big mob figures in Las Vegas....who would have ever thought?! The club had some other moments in its time adding to its long history, including having its interior and exterior shots in the 2001 movie Ocean's 11, featured in Netflix's Unsolved Mysteries regarding Buffalo Jim, filming for A&E documentaries, NBC's Las Vegas and the Food Network's The Family Restaurant and a lot more!
The club is completely gone now and was demolished in December 2022 after finally closing in 2014 because it was abandoned and unable to be sold where squatters made the building unsafe and was condemned by the City of Las Vegas.
The overall sign is not in the greatest condition, where all the neon tubing is broken and missing most electrical wiring. The portion that is the "EM" is pretty mangled, the C in Club has its original cover on it as does the "EN'S" but all the covers are loose but can be glued down and should be fine. The sign went through a demolition crew and nearly lost its entire existence, so it's safe to say it's not being represented in a condition other than needs extreme restoration but can be done and if you are into restoring such a unique and cool part of Vegas history, all said and done you would have a great item if you can add some new neon and clean it up. Most of it is not unrepairable. If you are the type like us that you like it in this original used condition as the way it was discovered, then you are winning here too, as it's a beauty as is.
The following are the measurements of each panel, as there are 3 separate panels the words are on in total that are made of iron:
CLUB: 119" x 44" x 6"
EN'S: 81" x 44" x 6"
EM: 49" x 44" x 6"
The letters range in size based off their shapes, but the "U" in club measured 24" x 19.5" x 5" in size. The iron panels are an inch in size and each letter is 5" in height, so between that and the 1" iron panel is how the overall width of each sign is 6".
Shipping as of now is for Local Las Vegas only but can be shipped potentially, but you would be responsible for finding a packaging company and ship it to yourself from them as once it leaves our possession, it is your responsibility. We have some recommendations for packaging companies if needed. We will not pay for any portion of shipping should you decide to go that route.
