Al Capone Original 1929 Philadelphia Prison Sentence Document Framed Mafia Mob

This framed collage features an original prison document from the Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia from Al's very 1st prison sentence of his life. On May 16, 1929, Capone stopped in Philly while traveling from Atlantic City, NJ heading back to his home in Chicago, IL. He was arrested outside the Stanley Movie Theater for carrying a concealed, unlicensed .38 caliber revolver. The Philadelphia courts were tough. They handed Capone the maximum sentence: one year in prison, where he ended up serving 7 months of his sentence and had to pay a fine of 1 cent.
This document enclosed in the frame is an Internal Prison Record Card that has all sorts of information about when would be the earliest he would be released, his full name, his age, ethnicity, his prisoner ID # which was #C5527, the court and judge that sentenced him and more. This document is an internal document, so prison workers would have his background and be in the know about Capone and what his time would look like being incarcerated. A prison worker even wrote a note on it stating "To be discharged by Phila. Co. Jail and the worker's name. The photo is an original from the time period of his sentence. It is a historic item that just adds to the incredible story of this prison card. In addition, enclosed in the frame is a reproduction of the original fingerprints of Al Capone taken at the Eastern State Penitentiary on the day he turned himself in! Wow!
