The title of this impressive piece, "Legends of Basketball We Made This Game," completely sums up its subject matter. This canvas collects over sixty NBA greats, men who redefined, reinvigorated and reinvented the game of basketball over the past six decades. Although this is a Limited Edition, each and every one of these were hand-painted and hand-constructed by Erika King herself making each one a unique one-of-a-kind item. This particular piece was created by Dreamstar (NBA Licensee) and the NBA Retired Players Association in conjunction with the NBA and to be given out by the NBA to be used how they wished. This particular canvas is the #43 of 100 made for the league. David Stern was personally behind the creation of this piece with Dreamstar and to see it be made as a high quality autograph piece to be made for the NBA. Doesn't get more authentic then directly from the NBA and is a licensed product of the league. This visually impactful piece features the original abstract paint background by artist Erika King upon which color action shots of 60 of the greatest NBA players, have mounted, each signed by the player depicted and also includes the signature of former NBA Commissioner, the late David Stern underneath the NBA logo, as well as on the back of the canvas, Dreamstar President Sam Battistone, former owner of the New Orleans / Utah Jazz. Over the years these pieces have been going up and up as there are players on this piece who have since passed away after signing the piece and some players have become more and more difficult to obtain their signatures.

The colorful collage has wood-framed backing and measures 72” x 51” inches with an ornate style frame around the entire canvas. The piece is also inscribed on the lower right corner “NBA 43/100” in gold and also has the artist Erika King’s name in gold. This piece comes with a notarized Letter of Authenticity from Dreamstar (NBA licensee). In addition, this item is certified AUTHENTIC by one of the very best and most reputable authentication companies in the autograph industry today, James Spence Authentication (JSA). It comes with the JSA Letter of Authenticity and can be verified on the JSA authentication database on their website 24/7/365. Lastly, Upper Deck Authentication (UDA) holograms are included with the autographs of Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant & LeBron James but have been painted over and cut off to accommodate the aesthetic look of the piece in its entirety. Frame is not brand new, so the frame may have scratching or slight damage, as with any frame that is not brand new. Kevin McHale image has a slight indention through canvas as seen in the photo.
