A little background about this collection. On November 29, 2015 Kobe Bryant announced his retirement from the NBA at the end of the current season. During Kobe's final season with the Lakers, the team made their physical entrance tickets to be commemorative tickets in recognition of Kobe. This set in this listing is a season ticket holders complete set of UNUSED tickets from the entire season. Every ticket has been market above the barcode on the front of the ticket as season ticket account #1364877. All 43 tickets. 41 regular season games, 2 preseason games at Staples Center. This is a complete set. These tickets are not just random tickets assembled from all over the place from multiple season ticket holders accounts which is what set collectors have to do since it is awfully difficult to get 1 set of tickets and yet all unused. Each ticket is in very very good condition and include perforation on each side of the tickets. The tickets have been put away since 2016 in a protective cover and casing.
The final game of Kobe Bryant's career took place on April 13, 2016, against the Utah Jazz at the Staples Center. Kobe scored 60 points that game and became the oldest player in NBA History to score the most points in a game. Included in this listing is an actual ticket from the last game hand signed by Kobe where in addition to his signature he signed it "Mamba Out"! As you may already know, Mamba was Kobe's nickname and Mamba Out on this final game ticket recognizes his retirement from the NBA during that particular game. Please see photo of the signed ticket to assess the condition of the ticket. The bottom left corner is a little rounded, but other than the ticket is in very good condition. Please note: The signed ticket does not have our logo on it, we have placed this on it to watermark the photo is all.
This ticket was submitted to be autographed by Kobe 3 years ago, and it took a very long time to get them to get it signed for us, but we received it back signed from Panini a week after he had passed away. He was a great guy in regard to signing peoples signatures out in public when you would meet him but at times when he was contracted to sign memorabilia it would be harder to get personal items signed. We did some research through 15+ major auction houses plus eBay and were unable to find "Mamba Out" signed final game tickets at all, let alone a complete set of the entire final season tickets with a final game autograph included.
This autographed item has been certified authentic by Kobe's exclusive memorabilia company Panini Authentic. This item includes the Panini Authentic numbered tamperproof hologram located on the back of the ticket as well as the matching numbered authenticity card as seen pictured in this listing. Panini is considered the best authentication you can have for modern day Kobe autographs. In addition, this ticket has been encapsulated and authenticated by Beckett Grading Services (BGS) guaranteeing it's the real thing. In addition to the authentication of his signature, Beckett gave it an autograph grade of a 10!! Wow!!
